Lockdown Lowdown #2

What we've enjoyed this week...

May should have seen the first Dutch Grand Prix in 35 years. Instead Red Bull treated us to this film - shot before the lockdown restrictions - of local boy Max Verstappen taking team-mate Alex Albon on a Dutch road trip from 'Port to Zandvoort'.

Albon was in action for last Sunday's virtual Grand Prix on the Interlagos circuit too, just managing to hold off Charles Leclerc after an epic battle.

And for this weekend's instalment of Manchester City's Sergio Aguero is joining the line-up for the virtual Spanish Grand Prix.

It's going to be interesting to see how drivers' different lockdown experiences translate back on the track. Will intensive virtual racing reap results or will Valtteri Bottas's Rocky Balboa style isolation in the deep north of Finland prove the way to go?

Lando Norris and McLaren gifted a helmet to the incredible - and newly promoted - Colonel Tom Moore.

And Billy Monger has been pulling together moving tributes from people for the NHS.

And time to keep your fingers crossed that we actually get to see some racing in 2020...

Let's hope that "possibility" stays as remote as possible. Wishing all a happy and safe bank holiday weekend.
